Please note that if a student so chooses, they can take classes through the University as high school elective credits as well as credit toward their college career. The student must gain permission from their advisor, their parent or guardian, and the Dean's Office.

2008 PSAT Test administered by The Academy at MSU

Each fall the PSAT Test is administered by The Academy at MSU. PSAT / NMSQT stands for Preliminary SAT / National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. The PSAT provides first hand practice for the SAT Reasoning Test. It also gives students a chance to participate in the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) Scholarship program.

2008 PSAT / NMSQT Test Date is October 18, 2008. Click here for the downloadable 2008 registration form. The Official Student Guide to the PSAT / NMSQT is available in the Guidance Counselor office to help students prepare for test day.

 

The Academy at MSU Summer -SAT Prep Course

Each summer The Academy at Mountain State University offers a two week Summer SAT Prep Course.

The Academy at MSU - SAT Prep Course Benefits:

  • Classroom instruction with MSU Academy faculty member
  • Strategic approaches for each section of the SAT exam
  • Each student receives a copy of the Official SAT Study Guide
  • A one year subscription to The Official SAT Online Course
  • Four complete practice exams

Classes in each session meet Monday through Friday 9am to noon. Total cost for the 2008 SAT Prep Course, including study aids and practice exams will be $500. Each session is limited to 30 students. Contact the Academy office at 929-1627 or mwriston@mountainstate.edu for more information.
