The Academy Student Newspaper

The Academy's newspaper is a student-produced publication. Participants are not only responsible for all stories and editorial duties but must also learn the principles of journalism in the production of no fewer than six newspapers during each academic year. The paper serves the student body, faculty, administration, and seeks to make the Academy community aware of important happening on campus. This class will also be responsible for the yearbook. Instruction for yearbook includes those skills necessary for planning, organizing, and producing the publication. Staff photographers are also members of the class. Students will be instructed in the basics of feature writing, advertising, criticism and reviewing, standards, deadlines, yearbook photograph, and layout of yearbook production.
